About Me

My photo
Gary
Simply put, I love being outside - so much that I'm trying to share it with you! This blog started as a chronicle of my training for my first marathon in Nov, 2008. Out of that has grown a love for distance running, especially trails. Around that same time I started working with the university outdoor rec program, which developed my love of climbing and backpacking. Since college, I've taught high school math, instructed and guided in climbing, and am now back in school. Here on my blog, I post my thoughts, revelations, struggles and excitements pertaining to climbing, running, and life in general! **All comments are my own and do not necessarily reflect or represent any person or organization affiliated with me.
